One of the first gifts we received for the baby was from our Ninang Wilma who's visiting Manila from Houston."Babyplus" is a prenatal education system and the first educational tool that has been proven effective. It's a curriculum of 16 lessons of natural sounds that mimic the mother's heartbeat. It's literally just a pattern of beats which is believed to be the only true language in a prenatal environment as the spoken language is still too complex for the baby at this age. Expectant mothers can start using it anytime from the 18th-32nd week of pregnancy. I got mine exactly on my 18th week and according to the babyplus calculator, I have to take each lesson for 9 days before moving on to the next. The lessons are designed to be played twice a day for an hour each and preferably the same times of the day so I usually play it around 11am and 5pm.
If you happen to see me at this time of the day and you notice a rather irregular shape in my belly area, it's not the baby but the babyplus! =) Testimonials of mothers who have used the product say the baby is not fussy and is more attentive to adults. Celebrity moms like Gwen Stefanie, Tori Spelling and Nicole Richie have used this for their babies too! Here's a short clip about it!
Babyplus is available online through Amazon or in stores like Babies R Us and Target. I just found out too that they have a distributor in Manila through Quirks Marketing Philippines located at 620 Barcelona Street, San Nicolas, Binondo. Tel. No. (632) 994 0936 and (632) 245 4846 and email info@quirksmarketingph.com.
